Art

I think art is best taught through a skill based programme. Children are given good examples and a step by step process to follow. This ensures each child is able to complete work they are proud of.

Clear learning intentions and the standards that you expect, take the guess work out for children, who then feel empowered to dabble in their own creative take of the artwork.

A topographically "accurate" Aotearoa.

Soap carving representing our families. An expert carver came into share his incredible knowledge with us. We learnt about whakapapa and the importance of whanau as we carved.
