Literacy

By teaching literacy groups explicitly at differentiated levels, progress is made rapidly by children both in their reading and writing.

 E-asttle writing samples give guidelines to next steps in learning, highlighting any gaps there might be in the children's understanding. Teaching can then be tailored to bridge those gaps and see realistic improvement.

Realistic learning intentions are made clear to the children so they know what they are aiming for.
